YOU ARE INVITED TO THE ENGAGEMENT PARTY OF
JOHNNY GREEN AND SCARLET LEE LEWIS,
HOSTED BY MEEMAW!

MeeMaw’s not happy. Known as Myrtle Presley Green, she is the sole beneficiary of the infamous Presley Gold Rush inheritance discovered in the Sierra Foothills of Northern California. She married Smoky Green and they had a son, Jessie, who she lost last year to a suspicious death. Her only next of kin are her two grandchildren, Jessie’s daughter and son, Sandy and Johnny Green. They are also the heirs to her fortune.

Johnny Green has recently asked Miss Scarlet Lee Lewis for her hand in marriage and MeeMaw couldn’t be happier. She wants to see the Green family name continue on! She has decided to throw an engagement party like no other for Johnny and Miss Scarlett.

MeeMaw gave her son, Jessie, a portion of his inheritance money early on only to have a lady in town named Ms. Sparkle May Peacock rob him of it upon his death. Maddened that her inheritance was stolen from her family, MeeMaw has made it her mission to rid the family of Sparkle May Peacock and anyone else who threatens the Green’s.

She’s come back to Middle Tennessee from Northern California with a vengeance to set things straight and get her family back on track. But not everyone is happy about her return. Is blood truly thicker than water?

Meet the cast - The Suspects

MISS SCARLET LEE LEWIS
Singer and Animal Activist
Played by Randi Driscoll

Miss Scarlet Lee Lewis, simply known as Miss Scarlet, wants to make it big as the next country singing star. She and her now fiance, Johnny Green, have a singing duo called ‘Scarlet’s Green’. They were on America’s Got Talent and made it to the semifinals. Ever since not winning, Johnny has started giving up on making it in music and has focused on his real estate career, but Scarlet is determined. She helps Johnny manage his mobile home park, Shady Acres. She’s also an animal lover and activists and enjoys helping and caring for the animals at GratiDude Ranch where Johnny manages his family’s property. After Johnny’s daddy died, she thought she and Johnny would move on to the ranch, but now MeeMaw has moved back in and it doesn’t look like she’s leaving anytime soon. Her dream is to transform the ranch into an animal sanctuary for rescues. She’s a hometown gal and has lived a pretty tough life, coming out of foster care and having to grow up quick. She’s also quite a looker. She’s had to use her looks to get ahead and has a reputation for being a bit too flirty with many of the local fellas, that was until everything changed when meeting Johnny Green… or has it?

MR. JOHNNY GREEN
Singer, Realtor and Property Manager
Played by Jason Warner

Johnny Green is the son of Jessie Green. Sandy White is his older sister and they’ve always been very close. Johnny has been a playboy most of his life, singing in a rock band for ten years, but he’s recently grown up and got his real estate and property management license. As a singer-songwriter, his daddy Jessie wasn’t very supportive and encouraged him to pursue real estate instead. He even helped him buy his first investment property, Shady Acres, a mobile home park that Johnny now owns and manages in addition to managing the nearby family property, GratiDude Ranch. He lives at Shady Acres with his, now fiance, Miss Scarlet Lee Lewis. They met at the local karaoke bar and started a duo called ‘Scarlet’s Green’ where they travel and perform at clubs and karaoke nights.

When MeeMaw passes, his dream is to use his remaining inheritance to open and restore an old hotel in Fairview with a Rock ‘n’ Roll theme. He was planning on using his daddy’s inheritance to buy Miss Scarlett an engagement ring but Ms. Peacock stole his inheritance, marrying his daddy right before he died! MeeMaw helped him buy a ring and he’s now officially engaged.

MRS. SANDY GREEN-WHITE
Life Coach and Yoga Instructor
Played by Jamie Dudney

Sandy White (previously known as Sandy Green) is a certified life coach and yoga instructor. She is MeeMaw’s only grand daughter and is the older sister to Johnny.

She works with plant medicine, auras, chakras and other alternative methods of health and spirituality such as Reiki. She works with clients and hosts retreats at the ranch and hopes to one day transform the ranch in to a full Wellness Retreat Center. MeeMaw has been having some health issues and Sandy has been caring for her. She’s not keen on Western Medicine and practices mostly energy work, but she’s agreed to be her caretaker and give MeeMaw her daily meds.

Their family inheritance has been stolen by Sparkle-May Peacock when their daddy, Jessie Green, died and left his inheritance to Sparkle-May after a VERY short marriage. Sandy is worried about their family land (GratiDude Ranch) that Sparkle-May has been trying to get her hands on ever since her daddy’s passing. Will Sandy be able to keep it in the family or lose it forever? And will she do whatever it takes to make sure this sacred land isn’t stolen from her?

REV. COLONEL MUSTARD
Reverend

Played by TBD

If you would like to audition for the part of Col. Mustard, please contact us at rockabillyclue@gmail.com.

Rev. Colonel Mustard is a bit of an eccentric. No one knows why he is called Colonel as it is speculated that he was never part of the military, although he is very militant. He also feels like the world is out to get him and is very, very quiet about his past. No one really knows where he is from and he never talks about his youth or family.

A Bible thumping, fire and brimstone preacher, Mustard is a shrewd businessman who mixes his good ole boy charm with snake oil salesman marketing tactics. He is single but has recently started spending time with Sandy Green White. But is he really interested in her or in her money? We’re still trying to figure it out.

He’s turned an old farm house into a cable access TV studio and started broadcasting his show “Rev. Colonel Power Hour" which is a big hit in the area. He has big plans to bring back the glory days of a worldwide television evangelism empire and thinks Mrs. Sandy White can help, but what is he hiding?

MRS. SPARKLE-MAY PEACOCK
Liquor Store Owner and Lingerie Designer
Played by Cheryl Morgan

Sparkle May Peacock has been married four times and all of her husbands have died mysteriously. Her late husband, Jessie Green, Sandy and Johnny’s father, left her his inheritance. Although she considers Sandy and Johnny her step-children, they hate her! And now, after hearing what’s happened back in Tennessee, MeeMaw has come back to town with a vengeance!

Sparkle-May used her inheritance to open the one and only Fernvale Liquors by purchasing one of the oldest structures in Fernvale and rehabbing it as a liquor AND lingerie store.  She loves designing lingerie and sells to a very particular underground market.

Jessie Green’s best friend was Professor Plum. During the grief of losing his best friend, Professor Plum has turned to Ms. Peacock and she seems to have found her way into Professor Plum’s…heart. This has allowed her to keep her claws in with the Green family as Professor Plum is like an uncle to Johnny and Sandy, and like a son to MeeMaw. Owning a liquor store, she has only aided in Professor Plum’s long known drinking problem as he now has access to liquor as much as he wants. It’s become a real problem.

PROFESSOR BUDDY HOLLY PLUM
Professor of Music
Played by Andrew McGinnis

Professor Buddy Holly Plum, known as Plum, has been a Professor of Music at a local University but was recently ‘let go’ for his alcohol issues. Named after Buddy Holly, he’s been a musician his entire life, and when not performing loves teaching music.

Plum was best friends with Jessie Green for decades and was considered another son to MeeMaw. The Professor has never married nor had children and was always like an uncle to Johnny and Sandy Green. Although Jessie Green wasn’t very supportive of Johnny going into music, Professor Plum encouraged it, so Johnny and he have always been very close.

However, Plum has been hiding the truth from the Green’s that he’s been dating Ms. Peacock, the woman who stole their inheritance! They don’t know that he’s had a thing for Ms. Peacock for years, and the fact that she owns her own liquor store doesn’t hurt the situation. Does Plum love her or the booze? That’s the real question. Does he even know?

He’s decided to invite Ms. Peacock as his date to the engagement party and let the cat out of the bag, so to speak. What will the consequences be? And could he perhaps just be covering his tracks?

What to expect at a ROCKABILLY Clue murder mystery event
ROCKIN AND ROLLIN Murder, Mystery and Mayhem!

The Event….

It all begins the moment you arrive at the ranch -- Greeted at the barn doors, you become part of the event as a party goer. Doors open at 5:30PM (no sooner) and we expect to end around 8:30PM.

You are there as a guest of Elvis Green and Sparkle-May Peacock to attend their ‘Engagement Bash’ at GratiDude Ranch. Our cast of characters will transport you into another time - of murder - easing you into the story with improv and mischief.

This is an interactive evening that is played out during your three course meal. It is your job to become a sleuth (and potentially accomplice) as you meet and interact with everyone throughout the evening, interrogating them as they come by your table to catch up with you, and remember the good times.

You should note that the cast can't lie. They may be evasive or try to misdirect you. I mean, a murderer doesn’t come out and TELL you they murdered someone! It’s not that easy. They may even be trying to protect someone else or they may be trying to avoid incriminating themselves. They will also have some gossip to share with you which may (or may not!) help you solve the mystery. At the end of the event all guests will complete an accusation form prior to the big reveal!

What about Seating…

The event takes place under our event barn and is OPEN SEATING. If you want to sit with anyone else who also bought tickets we suggest you arrive plenty early to make sure ya’ll are seated at the same table.

The event is designed for optimal viewing from any area you’re sitting in. Our motto is ‘watch yer back!’ cause you never know who might be sneakin’ up behind ya!. The characters work between, throughout (and sometimes on top of) the tables, using the entire barn as the stage.

What to Wear…

You may be wondering what you should wear. You're headed to a Rockabilly party out in the country so we suggest you dress in Rockabilly Fashion. If you need help with that, use The Google! There are lots of great ideas. Costumes are not required, however, we do encourage it as it can help you get into the spirit of the game.

The event also takes place in a covered barn which will not be effected by rain, however, please note it is outdoors so take the temperature into consideration when determining what you will wear. If it’s warm, dress light and if it is getting chilly at night bring a jacket or blanket. Keep in mind ladies - spiked heels on a ranch don't work too well but you can always go barefoot until you get to the barn.

What Else…

The most important thing to expect is to HAVE FUN! Be silly! Play pretend! Just have a good ole time!

Be sure to check out the FAQ page to review more frequently asked questions as it has some good info in there you may be wanting to know about. If’n ya got questions after that, email us at gratiduderanch@gmail.com
